Here is where we tell our story!
Carol, Judy and Susan are the three owners of Tried But True and met when they lived on the same street, over 25 years ago. All three are former third grade teachers and thus brought a similar work ethic to the shop. Our first store was a one room in the Tyrie Monument Building in Cockeysville which flooded after the first year. The flood however did not dampen the spirits of the threesome and we gradually expanded to two rooms and then moved to our current location on York Road 20 years ago.

One of our favorite things to hear is when a grandmother related how she bought clothes for her own children and now is back to buy for her grandchildren.
Our purpose in starting the shop was to provide a service for both our consignors and shoppers, which has stayed true over the years. This is especially relevant in this economy and when everyone is going GREEN!!!
